Poverty Simulation

The Poverty Simulation is a unique interdisciplinary collaborative learning experience open to faculty and students in any major as well as community members. Participants get a glimpse of what it is like to live in poverty for one month and face the struggle to survive using community resources. The simulation shatters stereotypes, enhances empathy, and improves participant understanding of poverty. The event last about 3 hours (plan to stay the whole time) and is free of charge.
