School of Leadership, Research, and Psychology

Welcome from the Chair

Welcome to the School of Leadership, Research, and Psychology.

Our School exists to help people grow and to improve lives through education, service, and scholarship. Through our educational leadership, research, psychology, higher education, and curriculum and instruction programs, we partner with learners and professionals across Mississippi and beyond as they pursue meaningful goals and prepare to make an even greater impact. We embrace this work because we know that education has the power to transform lives—one person, one group, and one organization at a time.

Success never ends with one person. It begins with the power of one. Every accomplishment is made possible by someone who invested time, knowledge, encouragement, or opportunity. In turn, each success becomes the starting point for someone else’s. That continuing cycle of growth is one of the reasons education is so meaningful. It reminds us that every learner has the potential to influence others in ways that extend far beyond the classroom.
Our faculty and staff are deeply invested in the success of our students. We intentionally connect learning with authentic experiences so students can apply what they learn in meaningful ways. We believe learners thrive when they are both supported and challenged, and we are committed to helping every student discover what they are capable of accomplishing.
Thank you for visiting the School of Leadership, Research, and Psychology. We look forward to partnering with you as you pursue your goals and create a lasting impact wherever life leads. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. We look forward to seeing how the power of one becomes the success of many.
