What does this award mean to you?
This award shows the dedication of everyone I work with, from flight instructors to aircraft maintenance to administration. I could not do my job effectively without their support.
What do you like best about your job?
Everyday provides a new challenge or experience (in a good way!). In aviation, no 2 days are ever the same. One day I might be dealing with logistical challenges, and the next day I get to witness a student complete their first solo flight or complete a flight rating. Seeing the hard work that is put in payoff by seeing students accomplish their goals and dreams is an amazing feeling!
What do you like best about Delta State University?
The uniqueness of the University. Delta State is a (relatively) small college, but we do things big! From Aviation to Nursing to DMI, and Pig Pickin’ to the Bologna Arts to the Fighting (Flying) Okra, Delta State provides our students with a one-of-a-kind experience, and I love that. The culture and location could not be better. It shows that even a small college can do things BIG!
