The Delta Sigma Upsilon Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota (CSI) provides opportunities for counseling students, alumni, faculty, and professional counselors to connect through scholarship, leadership, advocacy, service, and professional development. As part of Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society International, the chapter promotes excellence in counseling and supports the development of a strong professional counselor identity.
Through chapter activities, members strengthen their leadership skills, build professional relationships, advocate for the counseling profession, and serve the university and surrounding communities. Members may participate in educational programs, professional conferences, community outreach, wellness initiatives, and other experiences that connect their academic preparation with meaningful involvement in the profession.
The Delta Sigma Upsilon Chapter also invests directly in members’ continued development. Recent initiatives have included scholarships supporting advanced Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) training, helping counseling students and professionals expand their trauma-informed knowledge and clinical skills. Through these opportunities, the chapter recognizes academic and clinical excellence while encouraging members to grow as ethical, engaged, and service-oriented professional counselors.
